Sunday School

Sunday school classes meet every Sunday during the academic year from 10:30-11:30 for 2 year olds through 8th grade. (See the Youth page for high school information.) Bible stories and lessons are taught on a 3 year cycle. The current curriculum is Faith Weavers. Parents of 2 year olds attend 3 special sessions and then present their toddler with his/her first Bible. 3rd grade students are also presented with a Bible on Rally Day, the fall kick-off for the education program, held the first Sunday after Labor Day. Sunday School offerings are gathered to support a chosen mission project during the year. An Advent offering also supports a special mission.

LOGOS

Our strong mid-week education program is in its 44th year! Each Wednesday from 4:30-7:00 students grades 1-8 meet to study the Bible, enjoy supper together, play together and make music together. There is a registration fee which helps cover the costs of food and curriculum. Each spring the LOGOS students lead the worship service with a presentation of a musical. The students also contribute to worship by singing the in the LOGOS choir and playing chimes and handbells. The curriculum for LOGOS grades 1-4 is from the LOGOS Ministry program, grades 5 and 6 study Luther’s Small Catechism and 7th and 8th grade students study contemporary issues and review the cathechism. Every other year a study of Martin Luther and the Reformation is part of the curriculum.
